Coligny gets crowded by 10am in July; Folly Field stays walkable an hour longer. At low tide, the hard-packed sand near the Sea Pines gate is the best stretch on the island for a bike ride with kids.

Dolphin cruises: which company, which time slot
Not all sunset cruises are equal — some run 90 minutes past the marsh, some barely leave the marina. The one worth booking twice runs at 6:15pm from Shelter Cove and rarely sells out more than a day ahead.
